About the event
Street Art in DC is a perfect open air book displaying key historical moment in the city and the country's history.
Georgetown, Foggy Bottom and Capitol Hill also have alleys and street art, but U street and a pair of blocks in the Shaw neighborhood are the most creative and the best preserved.
Although some alleys used to host slums, nowadays they have yoga studios, coffee shops, murals, artisanal cocktail bars and stables turned into houses that are architectural gems.
